Third edition. Cloth partially opening at top and bottom of spine. Clean red cloth with gilt titling to spine. Owners’ markings on front endpaper, along with pencilled notes and pinned-in newspaper clippings from 1944. Also loose within is a frontispiece of Voltaire from a seemingly older text. Missing original dust jacket. Pages clean, with some foxing only around endpapers. Page edges show slight marking from water.
